Halogen Storage Electrode Materials for Rechargeable Batteries

چکیده

The ever-increasing demand for rechargeable batteries with high energy density, abundant resources, and safety has pushed the development of various battery technologies based on cation, anion, or dual-ion transfer. use halogen storage electrode materials led to new concept systems such as halide-ion (HIB) (DIB). This review highlights recent progress these materials, including metal (oxy)halides, layered double hydroxides, MXenes, graphite-based organic carbon nitrogen redox centers. reversible electrochemical halide ions (e.g., F?, Cl?, Br?), dual BrmCln [ICl2]?), binary anions PF6?, AlCl4?, [ZnClx]2?x, [MgClx]2?x) in electrodes is covered. challenges mechanisms HIBs DIBs are summarized analyzed, providing insights into high-performance batteries.
